CanCham hosts several business-related events per month. These seminars and open forums can range from round tables of a dozen people to audiences of 80. These events seek to bring together members of the Canadian and Chinese business and professional community to inform them about policy, trends, and opportunities. We accept sponsorship from those who are already involved in the events, and from those who would like to get involved. There are two kinds of sponsorship.
In – Kind
In-kind sponsorship of an event can be in the form of (but is not limited to) food & beverage sponsorship or venue sponsorship. Sponsoring the venue as an In-Kind contribution would involve letting CanCham use a space that is available to you for holding an event, while F&B sponsorship would involve providing items, such as snacks, pastries, appetizers, meals, coffee, tea, or wine, for the guests of the event. Other in-kind opportunities such as prizes, giveaways, and general swag are options as well, as long as they fit the theme of the event.
Cash sponsorship can be a more flexible way to support a business event. It can be specifically allocated for a certain aspect of an event, such as rental costs, speaker costs, F&B, or given generally to be used as CanCham sees appropriate. Cash sponsorship can help keep costs for attendees down, or to provide something extra for guests.
The benefits to In-Kind and Cash sponsorship are many. All event sponsors will receive brand exposure before the event and on the day of. Logos and hyperlinks for your company, as the recognized sponsor, will be included on WeChat posts, event announcements sent to our entire database, as well as on the event listing on our website. At the event, our MC will thank the sponsor and highlight your contribution. Additionally, if you are providing a venue, you are inviting members of the business community into your office which raises awareness about your company to attendees.
