Jul 8 | Importance of Foreign Currency Hedging Webinar

July 8, 2020 / CanCham Shanghai

This “Lunch and Learn” was designed for SMEs that do business cross border and are exposed to the volatility of foreign currencies. Many SMEs are at risk because they do not hedge their foreign currency exposure, resulting in the reduction of their profit margin or even losses. In some cases this can lead to bankruptcies. The reasons often cited by SMEs for taking this risk are due to the high costs usually associated with hedging and the lack of turn-key solutions in the market.

In this lunch session we will discuss:

1. Who should be hedging their Currency Risk?

2. Why Hedge and with which Instruments?

3. 4 main currency risks & costs to be aware of including post COVID risk considerations for your business

4. A case study of how one operating company neutralizes their currency risk.
