May 26 | Sustain Life on Land: Forest, Ground and Animals

18 5 月, 2022 / CanCham

In COVID-19, the planet has delivered its strongest warning to date that humanity must change.

Human activity has altered almost 75 per cent of the earth’s surface, squeezing wildlife and nature into an ever-smaller corner of the planet and increasing the risks of zoonotic diseases. Deforestation and desertification pose major challenges to sustainable development and have affected the lives and livelihoods of millions of people.

It is time to restore our forests, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. The better we manage nature, the better we manage human health.

At this seminar, CanCham Shanghai and BritCham Shanghai are delighted to bring together speakers from NGO and commercial world to share their insights on saving this beautiful, vulnerable and utterly irreplaceable planet that we call home.
