CanCham together with Raffles Medical Shanghai Family Medicine Clinic invites you to join the mental health seminar on How to Manage your Back-To School Stress on October 15th, 2020.

The seminar will cover topics about parenting with PACE to protect child from back-to-school stress.

Many kids are anxious about going back to school this year due to COVID-19. Neuroscience reveals that positive parent-child attachment is crucial to provide the child the sense of security. This workshop will discuss what parenting attitude can help the child to build secure and loving attachments. Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE) are four valuable elements of parenting that combined with love, can help children feel confident and secure.

Lisa Chen received extensive training in mental health counselling and obtained her license in Counselling in China in 2013. She then continued to pursue further training in mental health counselling in United States. Lisa graduated in 2017 at University of California, Berkeley Extension, with a post-baccalaureate in counselling and psychology and later on, obtained her master of arts in clinical mental health counselling at Palo Alto University, United States. 

Lisa has extensive counselling experiences in various work settings that include international school, foster care facility, private school, community substance abuse rehabilitation center, government sponsored youth development center and crisis intervention hotline in mental health hospital. She uses integrated and humanistic approaches, and supplements with cognitive behavior therapy, play therapy and attachment focused family therapy to her patients. Her specialty extends to children and / or parenting therapy, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, career counselling and LGBTQ counselling. 




陈晔自2013年起,在中国接受广泛的心理咨询培训,获得中国二级心理咨询师证书。之后,她继续攻读美国的临床心理咨询专业,并于2017年获得美国加州大学伯克利分校心理咨询学士和美国 Palo Alto 大学(美国加州培养临床心理学家的专业心理学院)临床心理咨询硕士。

陈晔的心理咨询工作经验涉及多个场景和领域,包括国际学校、私立学校、社区戒毒中心、政府主管的青少年公共服务平台、孤儿寄养机构、儿童游戏咨询中心和精神卫生中心危机干预热线等等。她擅长以人本主义和认知行为治疗为主的干预,针对儿童和家庭,提供以游戏治疗、 家庭治疗和认知行为治疗为基础的干预。她擅长处理青少年和家庭的情绪和行为问题,包括焦虑、抑郁情绪、职业发展、原生家庭问题和性少数人群心理困惑等。
