First CanCham Chair Series: Student Leaders & Alumni Roundtable

July 13, 2021 / Admin

On July 9, 2021 at the Residence of the Consul General of Canada in Shanghai, the first CanCham Chair Series of Roundtables was held. The attendees for this inaugural event were student leaders from Canadian Universities along with their Alumni counterparts currently living in China. With questions directed by our Chair, Dr. Mark Ceolin, alumni and student leaders got a chance to meet for this unique combination of discussions and exchanges.

Universities including the University of Alberta, McGill University, the University of British Columbia, Queens University, the University of Waterloo, the University of Alberta, the University of Toronto, and the University of Calgary were present to discuss the benefits and opportunities of studying at a Canadian university.

Many topics were broached and will form the basis for the next series of roundtable discussions. CanCham was proud to be able to provide a space where lively discussions between student leaders and alumni took place and we look forward to doing so again in the very near future. Now please join us in sending off our Chinese students for their studies in Canada and hope that they enjoy this next part of their life and their education!
