The Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai, in partnership with Canadian Provinces, EDC, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and the Canada China Business Council, together as Team Canada were pleased to organize: Canada @ CIIE 2024. 

This year Canada held events throughout the entire CIIE period, including The Canada @ CIIE Reception on November 5th and The CIIE Canada Pavilion from November 6th to 10th.

Canada @ CIIE 2024 Reception, November 5th

The Canada @ CIIE 2024 Reception concluded successfully on November 5th at the Grand Kempinski Hotel in Lujiazui.

The focus of this exclusive event was to provide a formal business networking platform, offering informal opportunities to meet and connect with members of Canada’s business delegation to CIIE. Attended by over 300 professionals, it kicked off Canada’s increased presence at the expo with great effect!

This event was supported by various Canadian provinces, including British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. As well as Export Development Canada.

Beyond this, the event received significant supportfrom numerous important partners, including: Platinum Partner Saimen, Gold Partner Air Canada, Gold Partner Teck, Corporate Partner Canadian National Railway, Bar Partners Radouga Distilleries and Century Dell, Logistics Partner Asian Tigers, and booth vendor Organika.

Overall, the Canada @ CIIE 2024 Reception was a resounding success, serving as a pivotal platform for fostering connections and potential partnerships between Canadian and Chinese businesses.

CIIE Canada Pavilion, November 6th – 10th

The Canada Pavilion made a strong return to CIIE!

This year, the Canada Pavilion is brought high-quality Canadian products, including beauty and personal care, fashion accessories, infant products, health technology, and kitchenware, among many others, providing a one-stop experience of Canadian life.

The Canada @ CIIE 2024 opening ceremony on November 6th included many officials of note, including Ambassador Jennifer May, Consul General Jennie Chen, Senior Trade Commissioner Alex Cerat, and CanCham Executive Director Matt Whately.

Canada @ CIIE 2024 offered an incredible opportunity for companies to gain access to and engage with an influential and highly desirable audience: members of the Canadian and Chinese business communities in Shanghai, as well as Canadian entrepreneurs eager to develop their businesses in the Chinese market.
