CanCham 2021 Charity Fundraiser RFP

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (CanCham Shanghai) strives to raise awareness of social issues that our members are dedicated to, and provide opportunities to build bridges of co-operation between both countries and strengthen the fabric of people-to-people connections.

Charity Criteria and Application Process

To ensure that the charity supported by CanCham Shanghai adheres to the mandate of the organization and the values of CanCham members, any charity looking for support from CanCham can fill out this application form, which will be reviewed by the CanCham Shanghai CSR Committee, which consists of Board Members and active members of the chamber.

The selected charity will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Charity adheres to the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China
• Charity is properly registered to receive direct payment for donations
• Charity provides a clear explanation of what the donation will be used for
• Charity is able to provide a summary of their work to date

2021 Maple Leaf Ball

CanCham Shanghai is excited to have a charity fundraiser as part of the September 2021 Maple Leaf Ball. This will provide CanCham members an opportunity to celebrate Canadian values and support the efforts of charity organizations.

Any charity that is interested in applying to receive the donations from the 2021 Maple Leaf Ball is required to complete the attached application form and submit the completed form to CanCham’s executive team no later than August 20th, 2021.
