Back by popular demand, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai brings the magic of Canada Day to all Canadians and Friends of Canada living anywhere near Shanghai, and even far. In a major modern metropolis like Shanghai, it isn’t easy to infuse the feeling of trees, grass and natural beauty into a Canadian-themed community event. And in fact, over the years, we have chosen locations ranging from shopping mall roofs, to sports stadiums to riverside locations, to outdoor retail spaces. What has become clear is that Canadians and our friends relish the simple enjoyments that give us pleasure.
This year, we’ve found a home worthy of that feeling. Canada Day 2026 will be held on Saturday, June 13 at the magnificent Xijiao State Guest Hotel, Hongqiao — a garden venue spanning over 800,000 square meters of ancient trees, open lawns, and tranquil lakeside. It’s the space we’ve always wanted: outdoors, spacious, and open to all.
应广大朋友的热情期盼，上海加中商会再度将加拿大日的魅力带给所有居住在上海周边乃至远方的加拿大同胞与加拿大之友。在上海这样的现代化大都市中，要在一场加拿大主题的社区活动里融入树木、草地与自然之美，实属不易。事实上，多年来我们的活动场地遍及各处 —— 从商场屋顶到体育场馆，从滨江胜地到户外商业空间。而愈发清晰的是：加拿大人与我们的朋友们，最珍视的正是那些简单纯粹、令人愉悦的美好。
今年，我们终于找到了一处与这份心境相称的家园。2026 加拿大日将于 **6月13日（周六）在宏伟典雅的上海西郊宾馆（虹桥）**隆重举行 —— 这座占地逾 80 万平方米的园林胜地，古木参天、绿草如茵、湖光潋滟。这正是我们一直向往的所在：开阔的户外，宽敞的天地，向所有人敞开怀抱。
