About China Centre, The University of Manchester

Located at the heart of Shanghai, the University of Manchester China Centre was established in 2008 by the Founding Director Ms. Sherry Fu as one of the Alliance Manchester Business School’s overseas Centres. It was officially re-launched in 2016 by Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University as the University of Manchester China Centre, demonstrating its strong commitment to China.

After 14 years of endeavour, the Centre has become a leader in the field of international business education in China and will continue to be world-class provider of transnational education. China Centre currently supports the delivery of the University of Manchester Worldwide (UMW) and AMBS’ off-campus courses in the region, which include:

• Manchester Global Executive MBA

• Kelley-Manchester Global MBA

• MSc Financial Management

• MSc International Fashion Marketing

• MA Educational Leadership in Practice

During the past decade, China Centre has supported about 2,500 online /blended-learning course students and wider UoM alumni community in mainland China.

More UMW online blended transnational courses are expected to be launched in China in the future. Our vision is to gain a global reputation for quality, accessible online, blended and transnational education: no barriers, no boundaries.
