Nov 13 | Chairman’s Roundtable Series: Manufacturing

October 23, 2025 / CanCham Shanghai

On November 13th, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai will host the Manufacturing Roundtable, our inaugural event of the Chairman’s Roundtable Series.

Manufacturing remains a cornerstone sector to Canada-China relations. Supported by the Canadian Consulate in Shanghai, this exclusive roundtable series will gather various high-level manufacturing professionals in addressing and discussing some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities that the sector faces.

Topic: Reimagining the Canada-China Manufacturing Partnership

The landscape of manufacturing in China is changing. Faced with rising costs, geopolitical tensions, and supply chain diversification, many Canadian companies are shifting assembly to alternative markets outside of China. This roundtable will discuss strategies for navigating the new realities, identifying where opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and value creation in the China market still lie, and defining a new, more resilient partnership.

As a roundtable participant, you will have the opportunity to:

· Gain access to diverse, high-level perspectives from manufacturing industry peers

· Collectively identify new opportunities for growth

· Share expertise in shaping the future of the Canada-China manufacturing sector

We are currently seeking a limited number of senior professionals with direct experience in the automotive industry. Each participant will be specially selected to ensure a strong and fruitful roundtable session.
