PROPOSED
Academy Membership shall be open to educational institutions who are engaged in activities in China which are, in the opinion of the Board of Directors of Chamber, consistent with the objectives of the Chamber.

CURRENT:
Young Professional Membership shall be open to any individual of non-Chinese nationality and who is  twenty-eight (28) years of age.  or younger and a Canadian citizen or Canadian Landed Immigrant with good standing residency in China.
PROPOSED:
Young Professional Membership shall be open to Canadian Passport holders who are  between twenty-one (21) and twenty-eight (28) years of age. The individual must be legally compliant with PRC labour laws and must hold valid Chinese work permits.

3 ARTICLE V,Sect. D
CURRENT:
Young Professional Members shall not serve on the Board of Directors of the Chamber.
PROPOSED:
Young Professional Members shall not serve on the Board of Directors of the Chamber and must be physically present to cast their vote at an AGM or EGM. Young Professional Members may not Proxy their votes.

7 ARTICLE 11, Sect B6
CURRENT:
Members shall serve for a two-year term with no limit on consecutive terms.
 
PROPOSED:
Members shall serve for a five (5) or six (6)year term with no limit on consecutive terms.Renewal of terms shall take place at the first Board Meeting following a non Election AGM.
