The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (CanCham Shanghai) will be increasing its annual company and individual membership fees, beginning February 1, 2014.

“In order to continue serving Canadian businesses in China, it has become necessary to increase membership fees so that we can offset rising administrative costs,” says Carley Pulford, Executive Director of CanCham Shanghai. “As always, our focus is to support the Canadian business community in Shanghai.  The fee increase is necessary in order to continue providing the services our Members expect and need.”

CanCham Shanghai last increased membership fees in 2010.

1.       Canadian Alumni Committee This committee builds a strong and influential Canadian alumni network in China under CanCham Shanghai. The ultimate goal of this committee is to raise the profile of CanCham Shanghai as a Canadian business organization by tapping into the business and social network of Canadian university graduates who are now living and working in China.  The Canadian Alumni Committee shall undertake alumni-related activities to promote Canadian education, reinforce Canadian alumni’s connection with Canada, and provide practical support to Canadian alumni in employment search and other professional needs.

2.       Financial Services Committee The mandate of the FSC committee is to create, develop and implement programs and services practically valuable to CanCham members of the FSC and real estate profiles in China.

Through direct mailing, the e-newsletter and the CanCham website, members can publicize their corporate news and success stories.
