We are now seeking qualified candidates to fill a Program Manager position based in Shanghai. The Program Manager role is business development and client development driven and given a high degree of autonomy to achieve its objectives while working with an international and entrepreneurial team.

The main responsibilities of the Program Manager are:

  • Investment and Trade promotion program planning and execution with a heavy emphasis on client interaction and development.
  • Marketing and corporate outreach including active participation in key industry tradeshows and forums, delivery of presentations on the benefits of business between China and Canada to Chinese executives, and interaction with Chinese government bodies involved in the promotion of trade and investment.
  • Analysis and recommendation on program planning and delivery in key industry segments.
  • Supporting the Greater China delivery of services to Canadian and Chinese clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated experienced professional to join our team with the following skill set and experiences:

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the areas of international trade and investment promotion, marketing, or business development. Proven track record in client face to face interaction and self motivated program development.
  • Experience in planning and organizing incoming and outgoing business missions as well as trade show and convention participation and other corporate events.
  • Experience working on behalf of a national or sub-national government a�� such as a Consular trade office or state / provincial level trade and investment office.
  • University degree in business, economics, marketing, or public relations.
  • Based in Shanghai with work/life experience in East China region a plus.
  • Native level communication skills in Mandarin and fluent English language skills a�� reading/writing.
  • Experience and exposure in the following industrial sectors preferred:
    • ICT/New Media a�� electronic gaming / animation / post-production
    • Life Sciences
    • Transportation
    • Resources & Energy
    • Finance and banking
