JOB SUMMARY:A�Under general supervision,A�provides program and processing support to the fully computerized Immigration Section and assists in case processing of applications assigned to officers; provides clerical services; and participates in a system of rotation to perform other duties.


Education:A�A�A�A� A�A�A�A�A�A�A�A�A�A�A�

  • Successful completion of High School.


  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking)



  • Demonstrated experience working on a PC in a network environment, including experience using mail, word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Experience working in a general office environment
  • Experience in dealing with the general public



  • Ability to analyze information
  • Ability to perform well in a demanding office environment

Preferred standing may be given to those candidates who also meet the following:



  • University degree is desirable



  • Proficiency in French (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (reading, writing and speaking)
  • For external candidates who did not complete a minimum 12 years schooling in Canada or in an English speaking environment, proficiency in English can be evidenced with an IELTS result, general or academic, at minimum band 6 across the four modules of reading, writing, listening, and speaking



  • Experience working with Global Case Management System (GCMS) in a Canadian visa office


  • Knowledge of Canadian immigration policy and procedures



  • Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice as required;
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid working authorizationA�in China is a condition of your employment at the Embassy
