The Shanghai French School, Lycée Français de Shanghai, is a day-care school serving foreign students from 3 to 18 years old (kindergarten
through high school).

It hosts more than 1,600 students on two campuses: one in Qingpu (secondary school from grade 6 through 12) and one in Yangpu
(secondary school from grade 6 through 10).
In the French School of Shanghai, the curriculum is unique as it combines the French curriculum with elements of British and American
curricula. At senior level students follow the American option of the French Baccalaureate.


For the next school year, we are looking for well-qualified Mathematics & Technology English teachers with experience to join our School
for the next school year 2021-2022. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of teaching in a vibrant, popular school with a
bilingual curriculum. Applicants should have the flexibility to adapt quickly to a new environment.

The teacher shall carry out the professional duties of a Mathematics Secondary teacher under the supervision of the Head of School.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Teaching Mathematics and Technology curriculum in English to 11-18 years old children.
Working closely with the Mathematics and Technology in French co-teachers on lesson planning.
Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class, in accordance with the
School’s aims and objectives;
Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of secondary-age pupils;
Maintaining good order and discipline among the pupils;
Liaising with both English and French Secondary colleagues to promote continuity of educational experience and learning;
Establishing cordial relationships with colleagues to provide an effective and harmonious team;
Carrying out any other duties which may be required by the Head of School.

Knowledge and experience of teaching at Secondary School levels;
An eagerness to understand and adopt the French Education system;
A willingness to be involved in the wider life of the School.

Knowledge of French would be an advantage.


Please note that you will be asked to provide a 3 years’ degree minimum and a valid work certificate from your former employer along with a minimum of a 2 years’ work experience in order to obtain your work permit.
