55% of all Canadian Icewine Exports go to China

In 2012, Canada exported nearly $8.6 million worth of icewine to China, representing 55 percent of all Canadian icewine exports.

Canada is renowned as the world’s best and largest producer of icewines, thanks, in part, to an ideal climate: hot summers and cold winters. The Canadian icewine industry is educating the Chinese wine-drinking population about the significance of the Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA ) logo on labels that identifies authentic VQA Canadian Icewine.
